What does Open File Manager do?

Open File Manager makes it possible to use our Backup programs to backup files that are already open or in use. Through this, it is possible to backup data that are already in use by other programs

Outlook Backup Assistant can also create backups of Outlook-data when Outlook is being used. The same holds for all our other backup programs.

Using this AddOn makes data backup a more simple and uncomplicated process. You no longer have to interrupt your work and close files to backup your data.

How Open File Manager works:

On installation of the Open File Manager, a driver is installed that has access exclusively , only to to open data and files.This program runs in the background completely unnoticed, therefore causing no hinderance to other programs.

If it has been established by a data backup that the access to a file is closed, our programs fall back automatically on the functions of the Open file Manager. A manual intervention is not necessary!

During the data backup process you can continue working on your files and data without any restrictions.

Supported programs

Open File Manager is compatible with all versions of Windows starting from Windows 98.

Open File Manager is used as an AddOn for our other programs. It can only be used in conjuction with one of our other Backup programs. Use of Open File Manager is possible with the following programs:

  • Outlook Backup Assistant
  • BackupTool for Outlook Express
  • OEXtract
  • TBBackup
  • WinMail Backup

Important:

Open File Manager was not developed by Priotecs Software. It is a product of the company VisionWorks Solutions Inc.

Priotecs is only a retailer for this program. The license rights lie only with VisionWorks. VisionWorks offers a year long of free updates for this product.
